Limestone sands are widely used, among others, as sorbents in power industry (flue gas desulfurization), as well as in construction industry, chemical, glass-making and fodder industries.

According to Ahlstrom Standard, both a reactivity index RI < 2,5 and absolute sorption index CI > 120 are ranked as ‘excellent’.
